1. Templates of Legal Documents. We offer legal document templates across various practice areas. The templates are very well researched and are available with annotations. The annotations are in the form of footnotes  of practical insights into the law and references to judicial precedents.

2. Legal Essentials. We offer articles explaining core legal principles, in-depth analysis of complex legal topics, and practical guides for legal practitioners.

3. Analysis of Judgments. We arrange important judicial precedents in an easy to read format. We also offer an analysis on the impact of the judgment on aspects of legal practice.

4. Document & Transaction Checklists. We provide detailed checklists with templates to help legal practitioner's optimise processes.

In which formats are the Practice Tools available?

1. Templates - Templates with or without annotations are completely editable. They are delivered to you in a .docx format. You may edit them using any word processing software that allows editing of such a format. However, they are optimised for use with Microsoft Word.

2. Legal Essentials - Legal Essentials are delivered as pdf files. Editing of the documents is disabled.

3. Judgment Analysis -  Judgment Analysis are delivered as pdf files. Editing of the documents is disabled.

I am not a Lawyer. Can I use The Law Library?

1. Templates - We strongly advise that Templates, be contextualised by a legal practitioner before being put to use. Templates put to use without contextualisation, can have disastrous consequences. If you are not a lawyer, it is prudent for you to use Annotated Templates either for general legal learning or provide them to a lawyer to contextualise them for you and advise you on your legal interests.

2. Other Practice Tools - Legal Essentials and Judgment Analysis are helpful resources for legal learning.

Our goal is to streamline the delivery of these services by providing annotated templates and checklists that combine relevant information with practical, executable drafts.

1. Complexity of Law: Law involves various uncertain elements such as legislation, legal and commercial precedents, commercial interests, strategy, and human choices. Good legal advice results from an expert's ability to appreciate these elements.

2. Complication in Application: Over time, the application of law, especially in contract drafting, has become unnecessarily complicated due to the disorganisation of information and its application in commercially executable formats. This situation is not ideal for legal practitioners or recipients of legal services.

By offering well-organised, annotated templates and checklists, TLL reduces these complications, making it easier for legal practitioners to deliver high-quality services efficiently.
